My favorite topics to write on:
- Julianna, my mom named me off a library card where she worked.
- 28, and quickly realizing there's a whole lot I don't know.
- Married, our love story is the best soap-operatic fairytale you'll ever read.
- Mother, who struggled her way through infertility and experienced the miracle of raising children.
- Leads worship, at Shoreline Church in Austin, Texas with a phenom team. #ilovethem

“In a very real sense not one of us is qualified, but it seems that God continually chooses the most unqualified to do his work, to bear his glory. If we are qualified, we tend to think that we have done the job ourselves. If we are forced to accept our evident lack of qualification, then there's no danger that we will confuse God's work with our own, or God's glory with our own.”
Motherhood is something I cherish. For obvious reasons and some not so obvious. There was a season where I thought being a mother wasn't something I was going to get to do. It was short in the wake of other's infertility stories, but to us, it felt like an eternity. So when I write here about this big mixed bag of mothering emotions and feelings, overwhelming moments and heart-melting seasons, the highs and lows, the ups and downs, I do so with you in mind.
You, the Mom who never thought she'd be one. You the Mom who didn't necessarily choose to do it alone. You, the Mom who feels like her kids are a burden but could never say it out loud. You, the Mom who has no idea what she's doing but feels like she needs to fake it.
These stories are for you so that maybe, just maybe, one of you will read my beautiful mess and sigh with some relief, "Me too."
